What this site is
Coral Meridian is an independent travel information site about the Andaman Islands. It explains how to reach the islands, which islands visitors can see, how permits work in general terms, when to travel, which beaches to know and how scuba diving works there.
What it is not
This site is not a tour operator, a travel agency, a ferry company, a dive school or a government website, and it is not affiliated with any of them. It sells no trips, takes no bookings and lists no prices. Names of places, agencies and organisations appear only to describe the subject and belong to their owners.
How the guides are written
Facts such as island names, distances, the 2018 and 2024 renamings and the rainfall figures come from official and public reference sources, including the websites of the Andaman and Nicobar administration, PADI and Wikipedia articles that cite official data. Where a detail could not be confirmed from a reliable public source, it was left out. That is why you will not find fares, ferry timetables or phone numbers here: they change too often to publish responsibly.
How to use it
Read the guides in any order. Before you travel, confirm current permit rules, schedules and prices with official sources and with the companies you book with. Rules for the islands, especially for foreign visitors and protected areas, have changed several times, so check current rules before travel.
